Andrea DeSantiago - writer

Andrea DeSantiago

Andrea DeSantiago is a RYT200 with a passion for helping others. She first discovered yoga in her mid20s after she suffered a collapsed lung, hoping the breathing exercises would help strengthen her lungs and reduce her post-collapse panic attacks. Within moments of stepping on her first mat, she was hooked. Three short months later, she was enrolled in a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course, and quickly upgraded that yoga mat to one with a lifetime guarantee! She currently caters to a senior population in her hometown, focusing on gentle yoga, chair yoga, and beginner's yoga. A lifelong writer, she is venturing out into the world of freelancing to share her experiences on and off the mat. When she's not practicing or teaching yoga, Andrea is busy balancing a full-time banking career, two small kids, and is active in her local Rotary Club. Her favorite ways to wind down include knitting, yoga nidra, and meditation.
